EAST LONGMEADOW, MA – March 1, 2018 – TigerPress, a woman-owned, commercial and package printing operation based in East Longmeadow, MA, has completed the installation of a new Komori GL640 Printing Press. “This technology is an example of our commitment to customer satisfaction and growing the local economy.” said Reza Shafii, President of TigerPress. He added, “The Printing Press is now in full operation seven days a week and already booked for next several weeks”.

TigerPress produces about 70% of its electricity with the 2,500 Solar panels that were installed on the plant’s roof in 2017. “We also upgraded our workflow in 2017 and invested in new equipment to stay ahead of the curve”, said Jennifer Shafii, CEO of TigerPress. She added, “we have invested close to $5,000,000 to install clean Solar Energy, train employees in lean manufacturing, and upgrade machinery to service our clients better, faster, and be more environmentally responsible.” TigerPress continues to grow and offer more local manufacturing jobs. “With the help of a Workforce Training Fund, we managed to re-train most staff and have created 8 new jobs within last year alone”, Jennifer added.

The new Komori GL640 Printing Press offers several new technologies including automatic registration and closed loop color control and meets our high quality standards. With printing speeds of 16,500 of 28×40” sheets per hours, this new addition will have immediate impact in TigerPress’ ability to compete in larger markets and bring more jobs to Western Mass.
